Unlike other villages, Corniglia is not at sea level but at about 100 meters high on a cliff. If you arrive by train to Corniglia you'll get to use the Lardirana, a staircase of 382 steps to reach the city center. But once the staircase you still ended up with the Via Fieschi to visit the town center and to go to the viewpoints offered Corniglia. From these viewpoints you can see the other four villages. Simply magnificent.
On display in the town, the church of San Pietro in the middle of the village and the oratory of St. Catherine on the heights.
In Corniglia, we saw several places that offer fresh lemon juice.
For lovers of swimming, there are several small beaches including a nudist friendly.
Corniglia was one of our heart wounds to Cinque Terre. We loved it.

The Cinque Terre National Park is by the sea on the eastern Ligurian coast. The park includes five villages, Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore. The main feature of this landscape is that the man was terraced for its agricultural activities.
Since 1997, the Cinque Terre National Park is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
To visit the Cinque Terre, we recommend if you stay several days in the area not to stay in the villages but in the back country or otherwise in Levanto or in the Gulf of Poets.
Indeed the Cinque Terre is a place much visited a tourist impressive mass. In addition to travel and navigate the 5 villages, there is a train system from Levanto Spezia or simple to use.
For your convenience, we also advise you to buy a train ticket that day in addition to the train, you give access to wifi points in stations, reduced rates in museums of the park, and other services.
